Andy Birss Chris Mason Lord Bethell interview on Today this morning, confirmed they all knew about him and his character. But continued to support him and push for him to be the leader of the party. I wish I could say 'unbelievable' but sadly can't.

Not only were messages deleted by those in government during the pandemic but also presenters have conveniently forgotten their role in 'disappearing' how they excused each excess/lie/misjudgement of Mr Johnson during his rise to power.

Boris Johnson was always an inadequate charlatan, his elevation to the highest offices in the land is, in part, a chronic failure of journalism.

While us mere mortals were screaming about how Mr Johnson was completely unsuitable for high office many in the media were obviously covering up for him. His character flaws appear to have been common knowledge-But presenters/editors didn't do their jobs did they?

Didn't Chris Mason watch the Eddie Mair interview with Mr Johnson in 2013? He seems to act as though the information revealed about the ex PM at the was all about 'hindsight' when actually the character of Mr Johnson had been known for years.

Anyone - politician, donor, think tank or journalist - who helped Boris Johnson become Prime Minister, should not be allowed anywhere near senior positions in public life again. Some of us knew from the word go he would be a total disaster and everything we are hearing 1/3

How presenters giggled over and over again when their Tory guests excused the behaviour of Boris Johnson with 'That's just Boris being Boris!'. No attempt to hold him to account-All forgotten now by justin webb et al of course as to mention it would be embarrassing.

Mr Johnson was and is (in the words of Eddie Mair) 'a nasty piece of work'. This is the man that the Conservatives chose to lead the country during the pandemic in the full knowledge of his flawed character. How many died because of that decision?

Lord Bethell talking about Boris Johnson as though he was some kind of toddler that needed pampering and supervision during the pandemic.

Not only WhatsApp messages have been deleted-Also disappeared is the tacit support offered by presenters and editors in the rise of Mr Johnson to No 10 Downing Street.

Wonder if anyone who voted for Johnson in 2019 because he was 'a laugh' or 'just like us' is ashamed.
If not, they should be.

Pathetic that Chris Mason and presenters excuse their dereliction of duty in not holding Mr Johnson to account on his rise to power. Where's the excuse of 'That's just Boris being Boris!' that was accepted so readily on this show?

Eddie Mair showed the world what Boris Johnson was like way back in 2013-But still shows like presented him to us as some kind of 'great entertainer' rather than the deeply unpleasant and untrustworthy character that he turned out to be during the pandemic.

To many outside the privileged circle of presenters and newspaper columnists favoured by it was clear that Boris Johnson was completely unsuited to high office. However that was all brushed aside and so many died needlessly during the pandemic.

Conveniently presenters seem to have wiped clean from their memories of how they aided the rise to power of Mr Johnson by refusing to subject him to the same scrutiny they applied to others.
