Last month, 241 held their annual interflight shoot at Pirbright Ranges. Firing the L81 each flight submitted a team to compete. With a very close competition, No1 Flight were crowned the winners! Congratulations to No1 flight led by FS Ali.  #241SQNATC

Last weekend 241 squadron held their annual McGrath Trophy competition. This year’s winner was No7 Section!  For the No1 Sector Shield, 27F Chingford Squadron won for the 3rd year in a row. A massive thank you to our cadet SNCOs who made this event possible. #241sqnatc

Last week Flight Sergeant Brown aged out! Since 2016, FS Brown’s cadet career has led her to become a model cadet, finding a passion for Band and Drill. FS Brown’s knowledge and experience will be passed on to our next generation of cadets as she’s joining the staff! #241sqnatc

241 has competed in the annual London Wing Inness Sword Skills competition at 12F. Competing against the other 25 Squadrons in the Wing, our cadets participated in all 9 events. The results are being collated and will be presented in 2 weeks - Stay tuned! #241sqnatc #whatwedo

Congratulations to our newly promoted Sgt Campbell and Sgt Sabeskanthan. Presented by OC London Wing RAFAC who visited the squadron, the Sergeants will continue to inspire and support their fellow cadets in the 241 community and beyond. A proud achievement for our cadets!  #241sqnatc

Big thank you to the RAF Air Cadets of 241 Squadron ATC from Wanstead & Woodford for supporting last night’s Royal Aeronautical Society Annual Banquet at the InterContinental Park Lane - smartly turned out and lots of smiles!

Last night, 241 Sqn provided a Guard of Honour for the Royal Aeronautical Society ! With all members of the aerospace industry in attendance our cadets stood proud. We even had the honour of meeting ACM Sir Rich Knighton and Commandant RAF Air Cadets ! A truly wonderful evening 🧹 #241sqnatc

Congratulations to our current and former cadets and staff who were invited to Buckingham Palace and presented their Gold The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Awards! Gold is a pinnacle achievement where our young people left their comfort zones and engaged with their community. A brilliant day! #241sqnatc

Congratulations to FS Seedat who’s been selected as this year’s Mayor’s Cadet! Immersed in all areas of air cadets, this appointment recognises her hard work and dedication in paving the way for our cadets. FS Seedat will attend official ceremonies and events with the Mayor. 🧹

The Sqn has returned from the Annual Inter Service Cadet Rifle meeting at Bisley where we competed against the ACF, Sea Cdts and RAFAC firing the L81 rifle at distances up to 600m. Our 2 teams were part of the London Air Cadets detachment with Tower Hamlets Air Cadets - 31 Sqn & 34F Squadron, Air Training Corps 1/3

Sgt Campbell, Cpls Hovenko & Selverajah all qualified for the coveted Cadet 100 qualification and Campbell/Selverajah gained Corps Blues in the winning RAFAC Teams in the Interservice Final. Cpl Selverjah also won the Boulter Trophy as the Top RAFAC cdt in the 100 competition 2/3

& a huge thanks to our staff for their coaching of the two teams and congratulations to CI Alex Sadler for winning the Staff Shoot. There have been challenges to overcome this year but with the aid of our colleagues in Middlesex & London Wings it was a successful competition! 3/3

241 provided a Guard of Honour for the WCJC marking 10 years of being affiliated with the company. Held at Stationers Hall, our cadets stood proud representing 241. FS Bennett, was honoured to attend the dinner and to be this year’s recipient of the Briner shield too!

Congratulations to FS Seedat, FS Chohan, FS Bennet & FS Ali who were selected for this year’s Deputy Lord Lieutenant’s award. The ceremony was held at Redbridge Town Hall and awarded by Thomas Chan DL. (CPL Chohan received the award of behalf of FS Chohan) Well done all!

Two of our cadets got to experience the wonders of flying and space at the National Air and Space Camp at RAF Syerston! Taking part in robotics, aircraft engineering, satellite communications, flight simulations and gliding our cadets left inspired about aerospace! #241sqnatc
