Now this is cool!

My office asked me to sell their 3D printer. It’s basically an upgraded CR-10. I replaced any broken or missing hardware but it needs some updates to the firmware. Makermade hasn’t put out an update in a while and it shows. Anyone near Northwest Arkansas want it?

Well, it took me about 2.5 hours, but the Sovol #SV08 is built! (Easiest "#Voron" I've ever put together.🤣) Have I powered it up yet? Nope. Am I gonna? Yep! First, I need to find it a home.😊

Insulated the garage door today. One step closer to being able to keep the printers outside.

So far, I’m liking Tap. It’s not perfect but my first layer consistency has been much improved vs the inductive probe.

Sneaking 3D prints into my projects at the office. These will be decorative anchors for a “floating” ice rink.

Definitely going to pick up few of these. A random outage corrupted one of my SD cards. I didn’t have a backup config for that printer and rebuilding that was a huge pain.

Development on my adapted version of the Doron Velta is going well. I adjusted the height a bit to take advantage of the materials I have on hand. The final should end up looking like the one on the right. Just waiting for my acrylic panels to come in and I can start.

Experimenting with an idea to reduce warping on large parts. I’ve seen some models with islands for the base layer. The gaps are supposed disrupt internal stress to keep the part from pulling up the bed.

Not my normal content but my company asked me to design a football stadium and this is the result! Initial design and dielines were made in Blender 🔶. The UV’s were converted into dielines in ArtiosCAD before artwork was applied. Final result was made using printed card stock.
