Cross country: Sophomore Isabella Curtis of meet host Peninsula Catholic won the girls 5K portion of the Bill McGough Invitational with a 19:47.7 time. Smithsburg of Maryland won both team titles, with the PC girls and the Catholic boys placing second.

Football: Saturday in the Peninsula District, Heritage beat Denbigh 32-14 at Todd Stadium.
