Civil War is a masterclass in tension that had me in its grip every step of the way. Alex Garland has proven since Ex Machina his confidence as a storyteller, and here again he serves compelling characters, memorable images, and scene after scene of tremendous power. I loved it.

Alex Garland once again doesn’t disappoint. #CivilWar is an unsettling, crude, in-your-face, boots-on-the-ground journey, that’ll leave you reeling. Kirsten Dunst & Cailee Spaeny are great, while Wagner Mora is fantastic. Sound work is terrific. A film that’s truly scary as fuck.
