.City of Peterborough wins a #PJMarshall Award for its Modular Bridge Housing Community project. The City built 50 modular homes, washrooms & a central service hub to provide housing to residents who previously lived in a homelessness encampment. #AMO2024
.York Region wins a #PJMarshall Award for its automated transit facility inspection program. York’s buses have onboard cameras & AI technology to scan bus stops, detect issues, & generate real-time reports for staff – eliminating the need for in-person inspections. #AMO2024
.The Town of Midland wins a #PJMarshall Award for using AI to develop a risk assessment model for its water & wastewater infrastructure. The technology pairs the Town’s existing data with AI to determine potential risk & cost of infrastructure failure with higher precision. #AMO2024
Minister Paul Calandra addresses #AMO2024, announces the Provincial Planning Statement is finalized and will be launched today. The new plan will reduce red tape, he says, and offer tools, flexibility and consistency for municipalities to build more homes.
