Vertebral fractures are the most common osteoporotic-fractures, but it is estimated that only 1/3 come to clinical attention. If you notice height loss of 4 cm / 1 ½ inches or more, stooped back, or sudden back pain - ask for an assessment! #WorldOsteoporosisDay

A recent study compared the extent of bone turnover suppression between patients with atypical femoral fractures (AFFs) and osteoporotic hip fractures (typical femur fractures, TFFs). The AFF group exhibited lower CTX levels, suggesting more suppressed bone remodeling.
