A trooper was killed early Saturday morning after being struck by a motorist on southbound I-5 near Marysville. He is identified as Christopher Gadd, 27, died @ the scene.

Yesterday the run left Campbell River at 9.00 am. They stopped at the Oyster River FD for lunch & then continued on to the Courtenay RCMP Detachment. From there the runners completed the day ending at 888 Wing Royal Canadian Air Force Association in Comox. A. Paramedics Of BC WoundedWarriorRunBC
Feb 25 A. Paramedics Of BC Ceremonial Unit Member Christy Nickel, Bearamedic & Provincial Public Ed Director Sherry Trider attended the 58th Annual VarietyBC Show of Hearts Telethon. This year's telethon raised $2,242,824 which will help 801 kids around the BC #varietyshowofhearts

Yesterday was another challenging weather day for the WoundedWarriorRunBC team; they covered 76 kms from #Sayward to #CampbellRiver . Wednesday is a shorter day with the runners arriving in #Comox in the afternoon.

Day two of the WoundedWarriorRunBC , from Woss to Sayward, was one of the most challenging days of running in years with near-whiteout conditions.
Currently, the run has raised almost $75,000 for Wounded Warriors Canada to help fund their life-changing programs. A. Paramedics Of BC
BCEHS paramedics were out this weekend in all kinds of weather supporting the first leg of the 2024 Wounded Warrior BC run. This relay across the length of Vancouver Island raises funds & awareness for WoundedWarriorRunBC. Best of luck to all the runners and support personnel this week!
