Dirt roads are the best roads.

On this #WorldHealthDay , I pledge to fight for those in my district and their access to healthcare. I will sit down and methodically look at what is and what isn't working in rural communities when it comes to Federal Health Care policies and make the changes necessary.

Every time I travel and meet with voters I hear from folks who are fed up with the chaos and dysfunction in Congress and are ready to send a leader who will reach across the aisle to deliver results for working families.

Rural people have solutions to big problems facing our country. Yet they are largely ignored with DC and urban centers making wrong assumptions about our values and where we stand on issues. I will give a voice to rural folks in Washington.

I am disheartened to hear of the first-and likely not last-case of wolf depredation in the Western Slope. The voters of #CO03 were against this reintroduction. Biology by ballot box is a bad idea, and I hope the rancher receives swift compensation.

Today, the Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments regarding access to Mifepristone — the early abortion medication, which a majority of Americans — including myself — believe should remain legal. It is safe, well studied, and should remain a legal part of women's health care.

Great to see the Ute Mountain Utes investing in solar. They are using existing transmission lines and their farm will help contribute to an all-of-the-above energy production approach here in #CO03 .
