Today, the House unanimously rejected the Governor’s amendments to my bipartisan bill HB588.

My bill protects tenants from immediate displacement and unnecessary eviction following a fire or casualty event. Landlords, tenants, and advocates all support my bill as is.

Proof I must be doing something right: I had the most bills vetoed- 7 (so far) followed closely by the Arlington Delegation- Patrick Hope had 6, Alfonso Lopez & Delegate Adele McClure (she/her) had 5 each. On Senate side only Senator Scott Surovell came close with 5.
