So excited that our work is published in Science today! š£We profiled regulatory elements from 1.1 million cells across 42 distinct human brain regionsš§ , and associated relevant cell types to 19 common neuropsychiatric disorders. Science Magazine #BICCN doi.org/10.1126/sciencā¦
So glad you joined us The Brain Tumor Center! Wonder what you will discover next.

Thrilled about this preprint article from Hao Chen & Albert Kim, MD, PhD about USP7 and Hao-Fountain syndrome! You guys had me at "a novel p53-independent ubiquitin signaling pathway." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/Pā¦ Albert H. Kim Test Account #USP7 #HaoFountainsyndrome Hao-Fountain Syndrome
VERY happy to share THREE papers exploring the genomic, biochemical, and cellular architecture of Schwann cell tumors published in Nature Communications today from RaleighLab members John Liu, MD PhD and Tim Casey-Clyde š, from former lab member Vasudevan Lab, and from Albert H. Kim! 1/5
First, RaleighLab shows that functional interactions between neurofibromatosis tumor suppressors underlies Schwann cell tumor de-differentiation and treatment resistance, revealing new therapeutic strategies for resistant tumors. 2/5 nature.com/articles/s4146ā¦
Second, Albert H. Kim shows that vestibular schwannoma cells resemble a nerve injury-like state. 3/5 nature.com/articles/s4146ā¦
Third, RaleighLab shows that epigenetic reprogramming shared the cellular landscape of schwannomas, and reports a novel function genomic technique for single-nuclei RNA/ATAC/CRISPRi-perturbation sequencing (snARC-seq). 4/5 nature.com/articles/s4146ā¦
In sum, many advances in our understanding of these common peripheral nervous system tumors, and some new techniques with broad relevance ! Exhilarating to work with Vasudevan Lab John Liu, MD PhD Tim Casey-Clyde š Albert H. Kim and many others on these papers! UCSF Neurosurgery . 5/5
