BREAKING: Norfolk Southern announced today that its Board of Directors has unanimously voted to terminate Alan Shaw as President and Chief Executive Officer due to violations of company policies h/t Sasha Pezenik

This change in leadership stems from preliminary findings in an ongoing investigation that determined Shaw violated company policies by engaging in a consensual relationship with the company's Chief Legal Officer.

BREAKING: The City of Springfield received a bomb threat that has prompted an immediate response from local and regional law enforcement. As a precautionary measure, the building has been evacuated, and authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation.

City officials were alerted to this threat via an email message this morning at 8:24 am. The email was sent to multiple agencies and media outlets. The city is asking people to avoid the area surrounding City Hall vicinity while the investigation is ongoing.

Per our affiliate WKEF: Springfield City Schools have evacuated two school buildings on Friday, the district said in a statement. Perrin Woods and Snowhill Elementary students were evacuated to an alternate district location.

Also, Roosevelt Middle Schools was closed before school began Friday "in relation to the information received from the SPD."
