Tonight on 'Around Texas' - we embed with the Texas A&M Forest Service Lone Star State Hand Crew while they battle a difficult and complex fire. When the terrain is too rugged for bulldozers to traverse, TAMFS firefighters hike in and battle wildfires with nothing more than handtools
Yesterday, Texas A&M Forest Service responded to 9 wildfires for 118.4 acres burned.

Two Texas A&M Forest Service personnel continue to support #HurricaneIan response efforts as part of a 12-person Type 3 Incident Management. The team also includes members from Texas A&M All-Hazard Incident Management Teams and Texas Intrastate Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS).
