I'm so excited to announce that the Leland Greenway is finally under construction! After years of community conversations with neighbors associations and Ald. Andre Vasquez, Political Account, this new greenway will provide a low-stress route for cyclists to travel between the lake and the river.

At today’s City Council meeting, Alderman Daniel La Spata’s ordinance to reduce the speed limit was successfully re-referred to our committee, a step in the right direction for pedestrian & traffic safety! We look forward to working with council members to get it across the finish line.

Today, the City Council stopped us from moving backwards on campaign finance reform. Now, we must turn to strengthening our ethics laws. We already have two proposals that can do that — Fair Elections Chicago and a package from Chicago Board of Ethics. chicago.suntimes.com/city-hall/2024…

The cynical theory behind congestion pricing suspension was that it would help swing seat Dems. What happened? Swing seat Rs took credit for pressuring Hochul, no voters moved toward her/Dems. A mess on policy *and* politics.
