If Vic gov can make health services deliver healthy food and drinks, establish/fund Healthy Eating Advisory Service to support the changes and require annual progress reporting to assess compliance, then why can't they do the same for indoor air quality? heas.health.vic.gov.au/im-working-in/…

Read this thread and then tell me why we aren't throwing the kitchen sink at trying to reduce the spread of SARS2.👇 Mindboggling that we can know about these serious effects yet keep running the 'mild' and BAU agendas.

Vic COVID update: Sorry, no update this week. Remember that Victorian Department of Health decided to cease the weekly updates and only provide them fortnightly. And they also abandoned wastewater surveillance. Any bets on when they go to monthly reporting?

There's really no excuse. “People shouldn’t die or have medical complications from a COVID-19 infection they caught in hospital, and hospital workers shouldn’t have to take sick leave due to a COVID-19 infection they caught at work.” Link to study in quoted tweet Burnet Institute

Federal govt has released a new campaign to help boost immunisation of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children, using measles & whooping cough examples. Such a shame that all kids aren't eligible for access to Covid vaccines in Australia. Video link: youtube.com/watch?v=a92_YM…

🧵 Anyone interested in starting some Novavax advocacy? As suggested by brian jackson 🙏 we’re getting the ball rolling with Novavax, advocating for them to expedite their updated JN.1 vaccine application to the TGA docs.google.com/document/d/1GT…

UK whooping cough cases are out of control!👇 Cases in AUS are increasing sufficient to warrant alerts. Besides a vaccine there are proven NPIs to protect people against airborne pathogens and suppress the spread, starting with clean indoor air and respirators. But not seeing it.

Explain to me why Victorian Department of Health has abandoned wastewater surveillance? Does Covid pandemic look like ending anytime soon? Shouldn't health authorities be concerned with a BSL3 pathogen freely circulating? This graph is of Victorians who have died with Covid. Condolences to families.

Rare siting in hospital today. Sadly as rare as any actual face coverings. Mine was the only respirator seen and very, very few surg masks seen.
