There appears to be a trend on here that if you express outrage over one thing but not over something else - that may or may not even be related and that you might not even be aware of - your opinion doesn’t matter. Whataboutery is so tedious. By the way, I think Lego is evil.

These riots are so depressing and sad. What they show, amongst many other things, is that Britain has a stupidity problem as much as anything else.

What we should be ashamed about in this country is the appalling deprivation; lack of education, culture, beauty, self-respect & dignity. Millions should be living better lives. That requires imagination & vast input in teaching, sport, theatre, music, nature, skills etc

It’s almost as if Elon Musk wants war and death. He is rapidly becoming one of the world’s most dangerous and awful people.

Once again, I find myself wondering how much longer I can stay on this platform. For me it's mostly a place of positive interaction with others, especially ad folk & fellow bereaved parents, but when the owner actively encourages civil unrest, it's time to look at other options.

Just one of many politicians at both ends of the spectrum ignoring their own part in creating the toxic atmosphere we are experiencing today. Tension like this doesn't just appear - it's nurtured. You don't just get to call out something you have played a part in creating.

This place has become too toxic for me. I can handle most of it but when the owner is a dangerous, divisive & sociopathic monster it’s time to give it a rest. I’ll keep an eye on things to see if it’s worth coming back but until then I’ll be on Bluesky bsky.app/profile/andywh…
