We’ve recently set up a new volunteering project to list the thousands of currently unlisted plans in the Ford and Slater architects’ collection (SD 1025). There are all sorts of plans in this collection, ranging from residential housing to public buildings, churches and schools.

Limited places are still available on our free digital engagement workshops at the Museum of Cannock Chase and the Brampton Museum. Places have been filling up fast, so book early to avoid disappointment!

We were very excited to take in a collection of records from Goodwins Jewellers (SD 2091) in July and over the next few weeks will be sharing some of the gems from the collection, starting with our site visit and a photograph of the shop from around the turn of the 20th century.

In the 1970s, Goodwins began to manufacture their own jewellery range on site. This week’s Goodwins’ post shows a stock ledger and some of the catalogues for the range, trade name Eros. It’s amazing how much detail is included in the ledger!
