I remind my fellow New Yorkers that Eric Adams only won the Democratic primary in 2021 by 7,197 votes. Our city has an abysmal voter turnout rate (21% of registered voters participated in the last Mayoral election). The next Mayoral election is in 2025. We must vote him out.

Two of the biggest proponents of the Iraq War. Because of them, hundreds of thousands of people died and millions more were condemned to sectarian strife and conflict. In a just world, they would be tried at the ICC. Instead, they make high six figures as “public intellectuals.”

The students on our New York City campuses have already made world history. Their precedent is being followed on every continent. I already cite them on my local history walking tours when I discuss student activism. They make me proud to call myself a son of Gotham.

Can’t imagine what it must feel like to have started college in 2020 and finished it in 2024. What a life chapter to remember.

Today, 48 planes are scheduled to fly between Montreal and New York City. With proper high-speed rail and pre-clearance protocols, this journey could take less than 3 hours by train. Currently, it takes 11 hours by train. We deserve better.
