Today I attended Fresno Chaffee Zoo’s “Coexist with Wildlife California Delegate Summit” & appreciated information about the effort & an update on the zoo’s master plan. (BTW, we saw the two newborn elephant calves!) For more on the program, go to coexistwithwildlifeca.org
Thank you to Wade Crowfoot, Secretary of the California Natural Resources Agency, for being part of the “30x30 in Action” event Wednesday in #Fresno. The discussions were inspiring. The State 30x30 goal is to conserve 30% of California’s lands & coastal waters by 2030 through collaborative action.

A statue of Nelson Mandela, the extraordinary president of South Africa & Nobel Peace Prize laureate, was unveiled Thursday in the Fresno State Peace Garden. Mandela’s great-grandson, Siyabulela Mandela, was at the event. I’m glad an #AD31 Team member could attend. #Peace

The Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries today held a grand opening for its new Family Welcome Center in #Fresno. The site will enhance the nonprofit’s efforts to welcome & help refugees who come to our nation seeking a safer, brighter future. I’m glad #AD31 Team members could attend.
