Engaging women working in the energy sector is always a highlight of my travels, because they often point out issues and opportunities, and have ideas that don’t arise via usual channels. Iraqi Kurdistan has an amazing group of women dedicated to energizing Iraq.

Last night, Millennium Challenge launched its latest compact with Malawi. Its previous compact helped open the country to private sector energy investment like the 28.5MW solar+battery storage power plant in Golomoti, which benefitted from a USTDA feasibility study grant & DFCgov financing.
