Last week we attended the kick-off meeting of The Regulatory Genomics Network (R2G) at #LaCristalera .

Researchers from 14 groups working on regulatory genomics shared their projects, in a nurturing environment, including three members of our team!

Three exciting days at the Genoma Hub CSIC meeting! An excellent opportunity for networking with colleagues at CSIC and other institutions and learning new techniques and approaches to investigate all sorts of genomes, from yeast to humans.

We want to congratulate our colleague Rafa Alcalá (@rafalcala2) who has been recently awarded with two prestigious fellowships, a Junior Leader Postdoctoral Fellowship and a SEJIGENT Fellowship!

This has allowed him to initiate the first steps in his independent research path.

Doing research is our main focus but it’s also important to share our work with society.

That’s why Instituto de Neurociencias UMH-CSIC helds the “Brain Awareness Week” where we welcome schools and highschools to explain the science we make in an interactive way.

They enjoy it so much!
