Romans 8:31-38 is AWESOME! Paul has been talking about battles and struggles. About sharing in Christ’s sufferings. He said we can count on great blessings if we keep the faith. Now he gives us a REASON to persevere—he says we are guaranteed victory because God can’t be beaten.

In Romans Chapter 9 Paul dives into a very deep concept. Who are God’s “Chosen People” and what does that mean? It was always thought that the Jews were those chosen people. Verse 4 says they were. They were given knowledge and promises by God but Paul says those promises

"For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." - Colossians 1:13-14
