The manner & clarity in which Klopp presents his viewpoint on Qatar World Cup, and whether footballers should protest, made me think of what Jordan Henderson said to me about Klopp back in Sept: “He speaks very well in front of the group and you know exactly what he wants,”

PM who said on the steps of No 10 and in PMQs last week he’d stick to the 2019 manifesto and Conservative mandate, but at the same time not committing to something in the 2019 manifesto on pensions triple lock (which Truss committed to but two? weeks back?)

Sunak does have a riposte to Starmer's 'grubby deal' attack re Braverman. Quotes Starmer saying that Corbyn would 'make a great PM' > 'He may want to forget about it, but we will remind him about it every week.'

On this, again. The Home Sec clearly said in HoC she didn't ignore legal advice. Two separate sources have told me that she didn't act on legal advice [around keeping asylum seekers in overcrowded conditions]. Also told by a source this will come to light as will be paper trail

This from KS. Did the Home Sec ignore legal advice, yes or no?

RS ducks Q. You know govt policy on commenting on legal advice

KS: Says the answer is yes [she did ignore legal advice] and calls Sunak 'weak' for re-appointing her (again refers to the decision as a grubby deal')

KS hammering PM on immigration
KS: How many claims processed?
RS: 'Not enough & that's what we're going to fix'
KS: 'He can say that again 4% of those who arrived in small boats claim processed in past year. Home Sec more chance of becoming PM than processing an asylum claim

KS: 'The Home Sec says the asylum system is broken. Who broke it?'

KS: 'They've lost control of borders on their side of the House. if the asylum system is broken & they have been on power for 12 years, whose fault can it be but theirs?

There is no long-term prosperity without action on climate change.

There is no energy security without investing in renewables.

That is why I will attend COP27 next week: to deliver on Glasgow's legacy of building a secure and sustainable future.

Immigration min Robert Jenrick says govt making ‘good progress’ in reducing the chronic overcrowding at Manston but still huge Qs for Home Sec about handling of situation & conditions in which people are being held. Obvious themes for PMQs

Sky News is told 'unrest' is spreading across the migrant camp, some people are making home-made 'weapons' and eventually there may be a 'serious break-down in public order'.
