Did you know #BillieHoliday was supposed to tour the UK? On this day in 1958, she was scheduled to perform at the Royal Festival Hall in London, leading into a three-week run at the Olympia Theatre in Paris. All French concert halls closed, canceling the show & tour.

#BillieHoliday began performing on W. 133rd street at 16 years old. When touring the neighborhood, you can view the cornerstone known as Billie Holiday Place on W. 139th street. Note: Holiday's first home in Harlem can be viewed from the sidewalk as it is a residential address.
