AUTISM SPECTRUM ISNT A SLIDING SCALE FROM LEAST TO MOST AUTISTIC. ITS A CIRCLE , AND WE ALL FALL SOMEWHERE DIFFERENT ON THE CIRCLE WITH OUR NEEDS/STRUGGLES. Also, you don’t have to have an ID to struggle with executive functioning.

Has been an interesting time trying to digest all the deficit language used through the autism assessment process. All my deficits from birth until now dissected, scrutinised then written in a 30 page report. Weird feelings lol (I'm still overall relieved though)

Book Search - I’m looking for the title of an adult espionage romance novel published on/before 2006 about a woman’s relationship with a secret agent/assassin named Hal set at least partially in London. It had a black and red cover. Can someone help me find it?

my project for the rest of this year is trying to get back that childlike sense of delusion that actually makes you to go for things that you want in life

Yes! I tend to draw on details from the environment during memory recall. I can literally still feel the texture of the sugar dumpling my dad made me when I was 6

The most practical and age-appropriate way I’ve explained “neurodiversity” to my children is by sharing that we all experience the world differently. We consider that every sound, texture, feeling and interaction can hold a different meaning for someone else.

Honestly most experiences hold a different meaning for each of us. “Consider” is the operative word. You must have consideration to healthily coexist in this world. There is no respect, kindness or connectedness without consideration.

This is what happens when Autism is seen through a white lens only and only genuine through your proximity to whiteness. This is such a dangerous rhetoric but unfortunately not uncommon. Many Black Austic people are always gaslighted and their SEN is always one they must prove!
