'A luminous love letter to an embattled nation' 'wonderfully written... vivid, lyrical passages'
Blown away by this review of Night Train to Odesa in today's Observer. Particularly as it's by Luke Harding who is in Ukraine right now, writing brilliant frontline dispatches.

Farewell, Frank Stella. Such wonderful paintings, prints & mesmerizing sculptures.

“I honestly believed everybody in the world wanted to make abstract paintings, and people only became lawyers and doctors and brokers and things because they couldn't make abstract paintings.”

So happy and relieved to hear from my co-editors after they missed a meeting yesterday. It was just the internet, thank God. Just the internet.

There have been many obstacles and delays with this issue, but it is very nearly complete. Thanks to everyone -- contributors, subscribers, so many volunteers -- for their patience.

I am an admirer of the Polish-born Citkowitz’s art songs, which treat their texts with great respect—a poet’s touch. Unsurprising, as he himself published some admirable verses, such as this, from the September 1934 issue of POETRY magazine.
