Year 1 children were visited by mummy Francesca, who came to talk to them about her job. She works at the Royal Marsden Hospital and is the first female to hold her position in the plastic surgery unit, a pioneer in her field!

We were visited by former Paralympian Anne Usher who spoke to children & staff about her journey to earning a Gold medal at the Rio Paralympics in 2016.

Anne talked of overcoming obstacles & the strength of having a positive mindset. She was a huge inspiration to us all.

Bravo to our U13 hockey team who qualified for the plate at the IAPS National Finals, after finishing 4th in their group.
In the Quarter Finals they finally got knocked out by an impressive Cranleigh team, finishing 13-16th place overall.

Just a few recent Year 2 activities have included creating dazzling artworks in the style of Romero Britto, making a fire in the woods where they cooked bananas & chocolate & visiting the East Grinstead foodbank to see why their Harvest donations were so essential to so many.

OB 2023 Luca Brugnoli stands to reinforce Age UK Christmas message of ‘No-one should have no-one’ by releasing a heartfelt cover of the Home Alone theme tune ‘Somewhere in my Memory’.

Curiosity. Wonder. Resilience.  Powerful messages delivered to our Year 3-7 pupils last week by bestselling author, Abi Elphinstone (Mr Elphinstone’s sister).  For one hour, she captivated her audience with tales of the Arctic, Mongolia and magical lands.

Year 4 took to the stage to deliver two knock-out performances of ‘Cinderella & Rockerfella’ and what a show it was!

We were delighted to welcome Glenalmond College Warden, Mr Mark Mortimer for a visit to Brambletye last week. Coincidentally, both the Headmaster & Deputy Head, Mr Brooks and Mr Elphinstone are Glenalmond College alumni & thoroughly enjoyed hearing about current school life & news.

Our intrepid Brambletye Bear returned from his adventures to Antarctica this week.
The plucky bear was invited by Ms Kennedy’s partner, Tennessee, to join him leading an expedition on the Magellan Explorer.

Pre-Prep raised money for Children in Need today with Crazy Hair Day and a cake sale after school!
We saw an array of different hairstyles, colours, decorations, extensions, plaits, buns, spikes and bunches. Everyone made a great effort with donations going to a fantastic cause.

This week Brambletye pups Hercules and Coco, along with Mr Brooks were invited to Year 1 as part of their learning about pets class and how we look after them.

A big shout out to Aimee in year 6 who has been working hard to prepare Shoebox Christmas presents for Ukrainian children in need. Aimee donated her toys, stationery & with £30 of her own pocket money she has bought kids activities, warm socks, gloves & hats.
Well done Aimee!
