15-year-old amateur Miles Russell gained valuable lessons at his first PGA TOUR-sanctioned event, including how to a read a yardage book.

He finished his first round at The LECOM Suncoast Classic at 3-under.

I’ve been to Jags HQ twice this week for two different media sessions and there’s one thing I believe above anything else:

Baalke on offensive line: it's a very good group. Great value. I think you'll find starters in the 4th and 5th round.

Doug: are you going to make a mistake, yeah... the key is to not make too many mistakes.

Baalke on corners: it will be interested to see how that group falls on the board. If you take top 28 corners they might be listed 28 different ways.

Baalke: if you're going to move up - you better be right.

Baalke: the analytics folks say never move up - collect as many darts as you can. Forcing something can backfire on you.

Baalke: we need to calculate if there's someone we covet and need to make a run to get to 12, 13.... but the board is going to fall the way it falls... gotta be ready for anything.

Baalke: the locker room is good. Emphasis in leadership. Young group. Focused on it in free agency with guys that are used to winning. Looking for players with similar characteristics.

Baalke: says those 3 receivers are really good. depth at receiver is really good. thinks there will be some later round guys that will prove to be stars in the league.

Pederson says Ventrill Miller and Cooper Hodges are doing well health wise. They are in building and will get on field in phase 2 and OTA's phase 3.

Baalke says final board will be discussed on Monday with Pederson and staff.

Baalke: There's talent at all levels, you just have to find it.

Baalke: more comforting to know there's depth at a position. Gives you multiple opportunities. We feel good where the board is at right now.
