Kuenssberg tells Chris Packham people are inconvenienced by environmental protesters closing roads and she's right - I heard on the radio just this morning that loads of roads in London are closed.
Oh, hang on. That's because people are running in a marathon.

At the start of the totally unbiased a clip was played of Jeremy Hunt preparing to run the London Marathon and engaging in some cosy joshing in which he hilariously said his mate Laura asks him questions that are harder than running the Marathon.

Not all doom and gloom at Briefcase Towers. I discovered there's a reduced salt version of Marmite. Caution still required if you need a low salt diet but it means I can occasionally enjoy the divisive deliciousness. πŸ˜‹

I think recent polling showed only 14% of 18-25 year olds would vote Tory. But that's still not low enough for the Tory Party who have rejected a proposal to make it easier for that age group to travel, work and live throughout Europe. Death wish politics.

I love it when we get a parody like the one today where fashionable pop singer Taylor Swift was co-opted to the cause of Christianity.

I wish wouldn't do those stupid hallucinatory effects that ended tonight's episode. There's a lot I wish they wouldn't do these days.

One interpretation of this horrible sexist ad is that thinking about a Keir Starmer speech has given the poor man erectile dysfunction.

I'm restraining myself from commenting on all the coverage of Taylor Swift's new LP from fear of sounding like one of those spluttering old fogeys who almost had an aneurysm when The Times' music critic reviewed The Beatles' Sgt Pepper in 1967.

This reviewer of Jimmy Carr certainly isn't sitting on the fence. And well done him. theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2…

In his speech Sunak said the BMA had welcomed his proposals.
15 minutes ago: 'BMA criticises Rishi Sunak for 'hostile rhetoric' in his β€˜sick note culture’ speech' (via Guardian).

WTF! Sunak says that because GPs know their patients too well that can stop them making an objective decision about their health so it's better that someone with no knowledge of the patient or their history decides if they're able to work.

Sunak wants to make it much harder for people with mental health conditions to claim PIP.
I'd like to say there's little chance of any of this being implemented but Starmer's Labour are quite capable of equally being bastards to the sick and incapacitated.

I quickly experienced what Sunak calls 'the dignity of work' in my first job sweeping the floor at a top London hotel (on to old menu cards because they wouldn't give me a dustpan), being groped by my boss and taking home Β£10 a week.
Happy days.

The decisions on fitness to work will be made by a medically qualified professional but not by a GP. However Mel Stride says he has no idea who these non-GPs will be.
So that's all good. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ BBC Radio 4 Today

Many years too late but still reason to celebrate that the plug has finally been pulled on the juvenile private school end of term faux-satirical revue known as The Now Show.
