The main highlight of a migrant-fest last night, during warm but breezy conditions was this super Etiella zinckenella. A moth i've seen in Turkey previously. To get one inland here in East Cambs has blown me away. It is the 2nd county record. Chippenham Fen, Cambs Migrant Lepidoptera
The wild southerly winds have made birding difficult of late, but the mothing has been fantastic. This Slender Burnished Brass taken last night is the first for Skokholm and the second for Pembrokeshire following one in 1875! Migrant Lepidoptera
A late Convolvulus Hawk-moth trapped in my Hollesley, Suffolk garden last night. A change from all the Crimson Speckleds! Also 2 Vestal, Gem, Small Mottled Willow, 6 Scarce Bordered Straw, 2 vitrealis. Migrant Lepidoptera
Photographed this in meadow near car park at East Lane, Bawdsey. Seems to be Etiella zinckenella. Migrant Lepidoptera Matthew Oates
