This amount does not include additional amount that Miami would have had to pay in connection with the 21% federal excise tax imposed on compensation above $1 million that goes to any of a private non-profit universities' five highest-paid employees in a year.

To clarify this: The contract says Calipari will be able to get no more than two of automatic 1-year extensions, and he will be able to add a total of no more than $1.25 million in automatic pay increases.

N.C. State MBKB coach Kevin Keatts picked up an extra $50,000 bonus with team being No. 10 in final AP poll.

Would have gotten $50K rankings bonus for No. 25 thru No. 11 in final AP or USA TODAY Coaches Poll (and Wolfpack was No. 13 by Coaches).

Instead, he gets $100K.
