Ok, here is what we have on the table as #COP28 approaches the end. Some quite nice wordings but no clear phase out of fossil fuels. And the worst: everything under ”could”.

The direction is in place but no shared path or ambition.

We are approaching the final negotiations of COP28.

Sweden’s head negotiator Mattias Frumerie shares his expectations:

Growing green business needs ambitious goals and strong regulatory structure.

Carbon pricing is a big topic at COP28. At a Climate Leadership Coalition and International Chamber of Commerce panel on “Ramping up Climate Investment through Carbon Pricing”. With John Denton John W.H. Denton AO, Minister Anders Adlercreutz of Finland, Axel van Trotsenburg, Jo Tyndall, Ruud De Mooji, and moderated by Tuuli Kaskinen.

Today the country pavilions of all Nordic countries were opened. Our CEO @tuulikas spoke in the opening vetelintä of the first ever pavilion of Finland in COP.

Targeting carbon-neutrality by 2035, doubling clean electricity and producing 10% of EU’s clean hydrogen, capturing carbon in scale by mid-2030s is cool.
