This type of vessel is well-known to #archaeologists studying #Roman Britain. Black-burnished ware; recognisable for it's dark grey/black body & polished finish. These abraded fragments were found on an excavation near a Roman Legionary lead working site in Oakenholt #Flintshire .

Last week at Ysgol Dewi Sant in Rhyl we looked at old maps of Rhyl to see how the local landscape has change over time with two super enthusiastic Y4 classes!
