On July 12th, Beth from our Volunteering team had a wonderful day supporting ROOTs at their Banknock Free Fun Day. This was the first of the ROOTS Summer Programme, which offers great community days out helping families make memories without worrying about costs.

The deadline has been extended for groups to apply for the Suicide Prevention Day Activities Fund until this Monday 19 August! This is an important opportunity to highlight conversations about mental health and suicide prevention in an accessible way.

This week also marked World Suicide Prevention Day, and we encourage Falkirk's third sector to join us and support the campaign. Samaritans' found that only 45% of people are comfortable talking about suicidal thoughts - and it's time we change that: samaritans.org/support-
