Very preliminary bistatic dual-Doppler analysis of the Norman tornado last night! You can clearly see the transition from cyclonic convergence to a full-fledged circulation, plus a peak horizontal wind around 100 kt (~200 m AGL)!

Friday was one of those days a whole region will never forget.

Tonight is a STARK reminder of why declaring a day a 'bust' because it doesn't churn out dozens of photogenic, daytime tornadoes is absurd. Post-sunset environmental evolution, upscale growth & mergers, and nighttime vulnerability can lead to the catastrophe we're seeing unfold.
