Seems to be egregious disregard for human rights in Canada. Glad the Irish Supreme Court held the line a few years back. Some slopes are just slippery.

Really looking forward to this,* where I'll be looking at constitutional theory on the island of Ireland in the first half of the 20th century.

* Now I just have to write up all these notes.

Excellent, a chance for the Courts to emphatically reiterate what every public lawyer knows: the Constitution gives the Oireachtas very capacious power to order property rights to the Common Good & interests of social justice. If people don’t like that they can try and amend it.

My paper on third party interventions by state parties to the ECHR CEDH was accepted by The SLS journal Legal Studies subject to minor corrections. Really great news on a Sunday evening.
