I love when young people come visit the Capitol! Last week I had the opportunity to talk to a scout troop about life as a legislator and how we need more women in the general assembly. I have a feeling you'll see a few of these faces as public servants in the future!

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month – throughout the month, we raise awareness, increase communities' capacity to strengthen families, and educate children on their right to be safe. The pinwheels at the Capitol are a reminder to lawmakers of our role in child abuse prevention.
