Actual thermometer data shows little warming in the Contiguous U.S. since 1895. The homogenized dataset shows more warming, and each new version seems to “find” more. The adjustments are mostly based on a false assumption that people were too dumb to measure temperature.

Ah, yes, poetry. Now, I am certainly convinced there is a climate crisis.

There has been very little warming in the U.S. over the past 128-years. In fact, as of October 31st, the year-to-date average temperature at all U.S. GHCN stations ranked 35th warmest since 1895. Note, this is measured data, not “homogenized” adjustments.

Cold kills far more people than does extreme heat. In fact, globally, between 2000 and 2019, cold weather-related deaths offset heat-related deaths by a factor of 9.4. These statistics are directly from a study, also published in the Lancet journal.

Chris makes an important point, and this fact is why I often get frustrated with TV meteorologists who use climate data from urban areas to make a statement about global trends. A lot of the “warming” we see is artificially inflated by bulk data sampling being from urban areas.
