Rapturous reception from the Manchester audience at Opera Rara ‘s concert perf of the 1857 Simon Boccanegra. Bocca and Adorno particularly well song. (Memories of being The Bridgewater Hall in 1997 for one of Solti’s final concerts - I got him to autograph a CD!)
A beautiful night at The Bridgewater Hall watching The Hallé and the Chorus of Opera North singing the 1857 version of Simon Boccanegra… a big thanks to Opera Rara for having us and it was a wonderful evening at The Midland Hotel afterwards too! Stunning! 😍
