And just like that… Thank you, Hilary Davan Wetton. Retired as Artistic Director of City of London Choir after 34 years. A key part of my musical life for nearly 40 (and counting). Last week’s final final actual final concert was very special. Lucky me, being one of the gift bearers.
We're both excited and emotional about tonight's concert St Giles Cripplegate with London Mozart Players , the final concert of the #SummerMusicinCityChurches festival. Our last concert with Hilary Davan Wetton before he retires as our Musical Director. We will miss him more than words can express!

City of London Choir St Giles Cripplegate Rachel Nicholls BBC Singers Sam Evans Music We must make so much fuss that the BBC has to retreat. We had the same battle in the 1980s; there were - in the end - serious concessions. Sadly the trend is relentlessly downwards: in the ACE, in the BBC and in Government. We simply have to keep fighting on until wisdom returns.
We are signatories to this important letter, standing with our fellow amateur choirs to say DON'T SCRAP THE BBC SINGERS #WeAreTheBBCSingers
