What a fascinating event we were treated to last night: Judith Flanders talking about her new book, Rites of Passage: Death & Mourning in Victorian Britain.

Real thrill to hear Judith Flanders talking about her new book Rites of Passage at Collected Books Durham last night. She was the deciding factor in me undertaking my MA in Dickens research at Buckingham English (being one of the seminar speakers). That decision changed the course of my life.
