I hate this X logo so fucking much, I hate how that asshole disabled APIs to automatically post from wordpress, I hate how he's destroyed a website that worked JUST FINE, I hate how he's dismantled a community that was often such a lifeline for REGULAR PEOPLE WANTING CONNECTION.

Today in Comics History: The “Captain Easy” Sunday page, spun off from the daily “Wash Tubbs,” debuted 90 years ago, on July 30, 1933. (“Wash Tubbs” had been running since 1924.) Eventually, Roy Crane’s popular Easy took over entirely, and the daily was renamed “Captain Easy.”

I read these issues as they came out and still have them, but I found this collection at a used bookstore recently and thought it would be a great excuse to reread them all. A lot of talented creators worked on these.

I’m sad to announce that our longtime animation columnist Jim Korkis has passed away. Jim was passionately devoted to animation history. He was also a consummate professional. I am so grateful for Jim and everything he brought to our appreciation of animation history. May he RIP.
