In this paper, we are discussing CAUSALITY seriously and how much our beloved Neuroscience has been trapped in the correlational web of non-sensical stuff. It was great to see Shan Siddiqi, Michael Fox, Kording Lab 🦖 in action during the writing of this work. rdcu.be/cLLRN

Using connectomes, we have idenetified a brain network using methods similar to Andreas Horn & Michael Fox network methods to map the shared network underlying oscillations - is it spectral network mapping? Beta was connected to strategic hubs, like striatum, amygdala & thalamus

in auditory paradigms using MEG, peak activation is over temporal sensors. with EEG, curiously often peak activation is on vertex channels. 🤔 it feels counterintuitive, given the distance from source, right? but it is expected, as this simulation with 2 active dipoles shows.

I am thrilled to share one piece from my postdoc project at Jaime de Juan-Sanz Lab Institut du Cerveau - Paris Brain Institute. How is it possible to capture activity-driven trafficking of endogenous proteins during synapses? 🧠⚡️🤔 Check out this thread!!

We think of the central nervous system as being hierarchically organized across spatial scales, from neurotransmitters and synapses to the whole nervous system. This idea was advanced by Sejnowski and Churchland back in 1989.

Temporal interference transcranial alternating current stimulation (TI-tACS) affects neural spiking in the brain just like conventional tACS, but 8 times weaker (plus possible off-target kHz effects) #BrainStimulation nature.com/articles/s4146…

WOW - OHBM just put about 800 videos online including tutorials and symposia [1,2] from many years of past brain mapping meetings! youtube.com/@OHBM/videos [1] Some were there before but it looks like entire conferences were just added [2] I am not involved with this, just
