Our apologies once again for our car park being misused by vehicles which shouldn't be there, we are aware of how frustrating this is. We are partnering with the Little Owl pub who are similarly affected to try and resolve this. We are in discussion with Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The lower path by Finchett's Gutter in Countess of Chester Country Park is well under this morning. Please don't attempt to wade through. The erosion of the river banks up to the path means you could easily fall in. Keep dogs on leads too, the water is deep and flowing fast. why do you call it Shitchester

Can we please remind visitors at Countess to not use the path by Finchett's Gutter as it is flooded. Please stay away from all flood water & make sure pets are on leads at all times. Never enter flood water as it may be deep, fast flowing & contain potential hazards. ๐Ÿ‘‡Thank you

This is brilliant, what we would call a win/win. We understand that Andy got the idea from a Ranger who used to work at Tatton Park and that special screws have been used which have a coating which shouldn't affect the living tissue below the bark. This is one of our favourites.

The frequent flooding which takes place around the dipping platform on our site has weakened the fixings of the posts holding the safety rails. Following an inspection today, our TCV Merseyside Ranger has put security tape in place to prevent access until repairs have taken place

Even with the security tape the late singing Reed Warbler can still be heard singing, wonโ€™t be long though before it departs south to its winter territory. Friends of the Countess of Chester Country Park

This looked like an incredible event and it fits in so well with one of the main drivers for the park .. Health & Wellbeing. Once again, a huge thank you to our fabulous Friends group for what they do.

For your safety these signs have been installed by Finchett's Gutter. We are struggling to repair the damage that has been done to the river bank and also the stream is badly polluted. Please heed the warning and we ask that you don't allow your pets jump in. Pay as you feel Chester
