Our apologies once again for our car park being misused by vehicles which shouldn't be there, we are aware of how frustrating this is. We are partnering with the Little Owl pub who are similarly affected to try and resolve this. We are in discussion with Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The lower path by Finchett's Gutter in Countess of Chester Country Park is well under this morning. Please don't attempt to wade through. The erosion of the river banks up to the path means you could easily fall in. Keep dogs on leads too, the water is deep and flowing fast. why do you call it Shitchester
Giving you advance notice that the Countess of Chester Country Park car park will be closed between Wed 26th June & Thu 4th July to allow the contractors building the new Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Women's & Children's Building to refurbish it. We are very grateful to them for doing this for us. Please RT.

The frequent flooding which takes place around the dipping platform on our site has weakened the fixings of the posts holding the safety rails. Following an inspection today, our TCV Merseyside Ranger has put security tape in place to prevent access until repairs have taken place
Even with the security tape the late singing Reed Warbler can still be heard singing, wonโt be long though before it departs south to its winter territory. Friends of the Countess of Chester Country Park

For your safety these signs have been installed by Finchett's Gutter. We are struggling to repair the damage that has been done to the river bank and also the stream is badly polluted. Please heed the warning and we ask that you don't allow your pets jump in. Pay as you feel Chester
