I think this commentary unfairly castigates the judge, rather than the law he had to apply and the presentation of the case he had to decide. 1. Giggle and Sall Grover chose to run the case as a head-on challenge to the constitutional validity of the gender identity

Every intelligent person you've ever cared about believes (privately or publicly) in at least one batshit-crazy conspiracy theory. If/when you find out what it is, it's a bit like learning what their kink is.

BBC News channel is currently broadcasting an 'investigation' by BBC Arabic into supposed Israeli genocide. Even by the BBC's standards it's grotesque. It starts from the premise of genocide and then finds rabbis etc who say foul things and uses them to support its premise. BBC

Anyone who believes in Israel's right to exist & defend itself who is a member of, or votes for, the Labour Party should he ashamed of themselves. That includes the Labour government's own Attorney General & the Solicitor General & numerous MPs.

🧵1/ It is not true that the removal of Israel arms licenses was a legal decision. Keir Starmer should not hide behind this fig leaf. It was *very* much a political decision. #PMQs I know this, because as Trade Secretary, responsible for arms licenses, I saw the legal advice.
