I'm writing the chapter on Reagan vs Carter campaign in Iain Dale's edited book. What are your favourite bits of the campaign or sources, articles or books on the campaign? Was the outcome of the election what you thought it would be?

A much better use of one's time would be to read the works of Larry P. Arnn of Hillsdale College, Martin Gilbert and Andrew Roberts on Churchill. A great X account to follow is Andreas Koureas 🇬🇧 for all things Churchill.

You will recognise Dorney Court in Bucks from many movies & TV backdrops. One of the finest Tudor manor houses in England, built in 1440 and Grade 1 listed, remaining mostly in the same family, very little has changed over the years.

Did you know that, of all the paintings of Winston Churchill, there are only 2 that were done *during* #WW2, whereby the artist had direct access to him in order to capture his likeness. This is one of them, painted by Frank Salisbury, and is a particular favourite or mine.

This is an excellent article by Victor Davis Hanson. Packed full of content and to the point.

It should shock us that these pieces needed to be written. Of course, all of this narrative flows from the delegitimising of Churchill. With the woke left maligning Churchill it opens up the space for the discourse that if Churchill is bad who were the good people in the WW2?
