Good to see in progress making Naloxone more accessible in NI today at Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Health. Since the Take Home Naloxone scheme was put in place 1765 overdoses have been reversed. These are lives saved. We need a #HarmReduction model of healthcare for people who use drugs.

So counter productive and self-defeating. We need a positive and stable narrative in NI around capital investment. As well as the immediate opportunity costs, this sends a poor message to other investors.

Having Casement Park + the European championships would have facilitated around £300 million to the local economy, been a boost for local sport and community relations, and been good for NI We’ll look back while they’re taking place and wonder ‘how on earth did we fumble that?’

It blows my mind that this even needs debated…… At 16 you’re old enough to work so why shouldn’t you be able to vote and have a say on local political issues? A wider range of opinions across society should lead to better informed decisions
