Deputy PM Chris Fearne finally did the right thing, placing the good of the country before himself. It’s high time other officials impicated, most urgently Central Bank Governor Prof Edward Scicluna, do the same.

I applaud President of Malta's timely words in defence of the judiciary in light of the bitter attacks by the Prime Minister. This is what leadership looks like. A sober defence of our institutions that work in defence of citizens. Not of partisan, or worse still, criminal interests.

Attacks on the judiciary belong to a class of demogogue as Putin or Orban. They have no place in #Malta . If they persist they will lead to grave consequences at EU level. I will make sure of it.
