Our hearts and thoughts are with the people of #Israel and the Israel Defense Forces who are facing devastating terrorist attacks by Hamas. This senseless, terror-fuelled violence is aimed to destabilise. But Israel will stand strong. Always.

American leadership is what holds the world together. Our alliances are what keep us safe. And our values are what make us a partner that other nations want to work with. We put all of that at risk if we walk away from Ukraine or turn our back on Israel.

What happens in NATO|s southern neighbourhood affects our security & that of our partners. It was important to hear directly from Arab Ambassadors their assessment of the situation in & around #Gaza and what steps they see as necessary and urgent. We will continue this dialogue.

It appears that the Russians may be losing multiple brigade elements from the 2nd CAA and DNR forces in their assault on Avdiivka. Gerasimov strikes again, this time with no pushback on his bad ideas (so far). Yet there are some troubling issues to consider. A thread. (/1)

This is Putin attempting to lay another trap. Ukraine won’t fall in it. And neither will we. The path to peace is through respecting the UN Charter and the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty. Russia must pull itself back into Russia.
