ADHD questionnaires are sensitive but not specific. Give an ADHD screening questionnaire to 100 people, & 23 people will screen positive. Only 4 will actually have ADHD. Use the ASRS questions but ask & explore rather than asking the patient to self-score. - D Coghill #RANZCP2023

So true, particularly for #sleep. Changes in sleep are often / usually the consequence of changes in physiology. So don’t focus on the poor sleep score. Look at the underlying physiology to see what is driving changes in sleep.

A number of people seeing me because of fatigue actually have burnout which can cause sleep disturbance and fatigue. Important to consider burnout rather than just focusing on ‘fixing’ sleep to improve fatigue.

Thanks so much to the great Jetstar Airways ground staff at SunshineCoastAirport yesterday for help with managing my son who has hidden disability and was wearing his daffodil lanyard. All the staff recognised the lanyard and went out of their way to assist.
